Counselling Psychology Intern/Neurofeedback Technician
Samantha is a Yorkville University student completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Over the past five years, she has worked at the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) working with and assessing clients with depression, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. She has also volunteered at the Toronto Distress Centre providing support and crisis intervention for clients in distress.
Samantha will utilize a holistic and individualistic approach throughout the therapeutic process to accommodate each client’s unique experience. In addition, she will help clients attain insights into their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and strengths by applying cognitive-behavioural and solution-focused therapeutic approaches. Samantha is also trained in cognitive processing therapy (CPT), an effective therapeutic technique that she will implement to aid clients in reducing symptoms associated with traumatic events and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).book a free phone consultation
