Sometimes life is beyond our control, and that can feel overwhelming. Depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms can leave us feeling stuck, helpless, and hopeless which can have a negative impact on our relationships, education, career, personal growth, and functioning. Without support, we can be left feeling alone and confused.
I utilize a holistic and individualistic approach throughout the therapeutic process to accommodate each client’s unique experience, needs, and goals for therapy. I help clients gain insights into their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and strengths as well as help them process and make sense of their experiences. I also help clients restore hope, happiness, confidence, a feeling of safety, and self-care back into their lives. I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment so clients can move forward with ease.
Samantha is a Registered Psychotherapist and a Yorkville University graduate with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Over the past five years, she has worked at the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) working with and assessing clients with depression, anxiety, trauma experiences, and psychotic disorders. She has also volunteered at the Toronto Distress Centre providing support and crisis intervention for clients in distress.
