Cordelia Huxtable

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

My approach to psychotherapy is psychodynamic, trauma-informed and somatic. With emphasis on the relationship between you (the client) and I (your therapist), we’ll work together to understand how you’re feeling, why you might be feeling that way, and come up with a plan to shift ways of being in the world that are no longer serving you. By honouring your existing resources and pacing the therapy to meet your needs without overwhelming you, I’ll help you become aware of your protective/coping mechanisms, and learn how to soothe them while processing past trauma and memories.

Cordelia is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and has a Masters Degree and a Graduate Diploma in Adult Psychotherapy from AUT University in Auckland, New Zealand. She has done additional study in emotionally focused therapy, authentic movement and sensorimotor psychotherapy.
