The Toronto Neurofeedback and Psychotherapy Centre (TNPC) is a specialized treatment centre that focuses on both brain based healing approaches and psychotherapy. The brain plays a central role in our physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Most symptoms are directly connected to our brain patterns and the TNPC offers multiple forms of treatment to target brain regulation and overall healing.
Our goal at the TNPC is to help you through difficult experiences and to offer you treatments that heal the roots of your symptoms so they do not re-occur in the long-term. In the centre, we offer qeeg brainmaps, many different types of neurofeedback, play therapy for children and psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families.
Life isn’t suppose to be a struggle. Both therapy and neurofeedback can be life-changing. You just have to take the first step.
Neurofeedback Intake Process
Our process begins with an initial intake consultation wherein one of our clinicians takes a detailed history of you and answers any questions you may have about neurofeedback. Following the intake you have the option of completing a QEEG Assessment. This is a brain mapping which allows us to examine your EEG activity and identify the regions and frequencies of brain activity which may be contributing to your symptoms. We will meet with you a few weeks after your intake and QEEG to provide you with a personalized neurfoeedback treatment plan. Check out the various types of neurofeedback systems we offer here.
Psychotherapy Intake Process
Give the office a call or use our online booking feature to book your first psychotherapy appointment with the therapist of your choice. If you have questions about therapy or would like more information prior to booking, contact us to book a free consultation call with one of our clinicians or interns.
What Is Neurofeedback?
Mike Cohen, from the Center for Brain Training in Florida, describes what neurofeedback is, how it's different from other brain-related options, and how brain training can help people gain better control of attention, emotions, behavior, and performance.
